Rachel completed a Masters of Divinity - Counselling Focus from Northwest Seminary and holds a certificate in Health and Human Services from the University of the Fraser Valley.

Rachel is passionate about working with people toward constructive change in a variety of areas, regardless of their faith background. She specializes in working with individuals and couples who are navigating issues related to trauma, marriage, parenting, interpersonal conflict, adoption, spiritual identity and the highs and lows of day-to-day life. Rachel has a particular interest in walking alongside individuals who have experienced or witnessed abuse in the past or present - also those struggling with pregnancy loss or abortion, divorce or separation, adoption or the blending of families.

Rachel has gained 3 years experience as an intern at Redemption Counselling. She also has experience as a Crisis Intervention Support Worker and Community Based Victims Support Worker.

Rachel has lived in the Shuswap area since 2006 and currently resides In Salmon Arm. Rachel serves alongside her husband, Spencer, in full-time vocational ministry. Together they are raising their six school-age children. Rachel strives to slow down for a moment each day to enjoy the beauty of creation and allow its mysteries to drive her toward worshipping God.

Sylvia attended University of Calgary and Foothills Christian College graduating with an integrated degree in Religion and Psychology. She holds a certificate in Applied Counseling from Kelowna College of Professional Counseling. She has also completed a certificate in Indigenous Cultural Safety through the BC Provincial Health Services Authority.

Sylvia works with individuals and couples dealing with issues related to marriage, parenting, loss and grieving, addictions, trauma, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, crisis of faith, or just needing some support on their life journey. She has a particular passion for working with individuals who are embarking on a mental health journey or who are struggling with the difficulties of growth and transition as a result of change, whether the change is a choice or imposed by another. Sylvia has over 20 years of experience working in lay ministry settings and has been enjoying life in Sicamous for the past 3 years.

Sylvia’s personal journey of changes and transitions began 34 years ago when she married her bush pilot husband, Wes. Through 20 moves in 12 locations, Wes & Sylvia raised two sons and continue to enjoy many adventures together.
